No budget, borrowed speakers, and a venue that turns back into a classroom at 8 a.m. — campus organizers work with constraints professional promoters would never accept, and still pack the room.
We spoke with three university clubs about how they market events when the marketing budget is zero. The short version: distribution is people, and nobody distributes like a committee of twenty volunteers with group chats.
Their events run on energy and goodwill. Our job is making sure ticketing never spends either.
